- Rhaena Coughlin, RN-BSN and Lifestyle coach
OBJECTIVES:
- Describe current common cardiovascular diseases and complications
- Discuss how to prevent cardiovascular disease through lifestyle modification that include diet, exercise, tobacco cessation, sleep hygiene and non-pharmaceutical means.
- Discuss specific dietary changes that are beneficial to cardiovascular health
- Discussion of mental challenges that come with lifestyle modification, including perseverance and the formation of health habits
- Provide examples of a weekly meal plan that incorporates the dietary suggestions
